Hi Folks… Just a few modifications
Over the past few months I’ve been receiving emails asking “where’s the band man“?
I’ve explained that one of the guys in the band had a very ill family member and we were
suspending the gigs while she underwent treatment.
Well the time has come to step this up a notch and we need your help!
  Ally is 24 years old.
She just graduated in August from CW Post with her masters.
She was diagnosed with small cell cervical cancer in early September. This a rare cancer-with no specific protocol treatment. She had been aggressively treated at Sloan Kettering in New York. Her cancer did not recede, it actually has progressed. She now has metastasis to her liver.

The fundraiser is to help Ally and her family travel to gather information from top doctors in the country on how to proceed with her treatment; as well as to use for her future medical and living expenses.

We are still working out the details but as of now, it will be a $25 donation at the door. That will get you in for a buffet between 8 and 9pm with free music by a host of musicians donating their time including:

Rob Barraco & Jeff Mattson from Dark Star Orchestra w/Jeff Tobey
Of course the Red Flannel Hash band (past and present)
The Jim Pin Band
The Folkadellics
The Mike Nugent Band
Quickdraw
along with several other great bands/musicians that have to yet be confirmed.
I’ll be sending updates as these items get ironed out.    ( like this one )

If you don’t come to another show, come to this one…
I hope to see you all there!!!!!!!!!!

What Goes Around….

Written on October 13th, 2010 by Jim Kempster

Hey folks… Here we are a year later. I guess we haven’t been the most consciencious with updating the site,
but in truth, we’ve had other priorities this past year.
The Oyster-Festival is in Oyster Bay this weekend and I think the weather will cooperate this year.
We’ll be playing both days behind the Masonic Lodge and we may have a special guest but don’t hold me to that.
It’s the only place at the festival where you can…
Here live music, eat, drink what you want, sit down at a table and have a bathroom all in one spot.
Hope to see you all there!
Happy trails!
Jim

2010

Hi Folks,

I seems time is just whizzing by…  The Oyster Festival came and went. Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went and here we are at the start of a new decade with the band beginning it’s 35th year.
We plan to try some new projects this coming year but we don’t intend on abandoning our current acoustic 4-piece. It’s too much fun.  We’d like to try an electric thing with drums. Maybe a fiddle too…  It’s just taking a little longer than we thought to get it off the ground. We’ll post it when we’re ready to roll it out…
Well… that’s it for now. See you at the gigs!!!!
