#Databoss of Red Flag Alert: Natalie Kennedy

Natalie Kennedy, Sales Operations Director is our first #Databoss in this interview series.

Despite only joining Red Flag Alert a year ago, Natalie has become an invaluable member of our team. In this blog, we look into her day-to-day, career journey, and the advice she has for others interested in a career in sales.

Can you tell us a bit about what you do at the company and what your day-to-day looks like?

My role is Sales Operations Director. My day-to-day is working across the SDR team, new business team and account management on learning and development and general sales operations. I also work with the CRO and the finance director on the overall revenue and reporting targets.

What was your first job?

My first job was working for HBOS on endowment mortgage compliance. I've been working for 20 years and 10 years in sales. I started as an SDR 10 years ago and since developed into Inside Sales management roles.

What has been your journey to Red Flag Alert and how have you grown within your role?

I came in as a team manager for the SDR team, and about six months into the job I joined the senior leadership team as Head of Inside Sales.

In April of this year, I was promoted to Sales Ops Director.

Any favourite moments or experiences you can share?

Winning the Manager of the Year award; mostly because it was voted for by my colleagues within Red Flag Alert. It's nice to know that across the business, my work has been recognised and that they've seen an impact.

What advice would you give someone interested in pursuing a career in your field?

Be very organised and task driven. Value coaching and training, be able to work well with people, and set clear goals and objectives.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

What I enjoy most about working at Red Flag Alert is my colleagues and our value proposition. We've got a large group of people who value each other, are hard-working, and share common goals. I take genuine enjoyment in delivering our product to market with this team around me.

Finally, what do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

In my personal life, I’m very family orientated. During weekends I love to spend time with my family; we’re all good cooks and enjoy hosting.
