Meet the team

2004, we started life as a way to help identify new business opportunities for an insolvency company. Due to our unique ‘health rating’ system and 180,000 daily data updates, it was incredibly successful. So much so that in 2009 we expanded our data to cover the full uk credit reference file, to support other parts of the business in commercial finance, corporate finance and advisory services.

In 2012 we became an independent business, focused on launching our software product. Since then, we have helped thousands of companies use data to help them drive growth, avoid risk and remain compliant. We’re now trusted by 1000s of businesses, from large FTSE 100 financial services organisations to SMEs.

In the Beginning

Started life as a way to help insolvency companies, incorporated as part of the Begbies Traynor Group. Red Flag Alert's unique insolvency score was designed with 145 alerts

2004

Expanded our data

Expanded our data and business intelligence provided to companies

2009

Improved our software products

Became an independent business

2012

Became an Independent CRA

Red Flag Alert launched its own credit limit and become an independent credit referencing agency

2014

Developed JSON API

Our team of experts developed our JSON API, allowing businesses to connect our data with their own CRMs.

2016

Launched Improved version of Red Flag Alert

We continue to grow and evolve, launching a new and improved version of the product; RFA 2.0 in addition to our manual AML checks product.

2018

Additional data within the platform

In 2021, our team developed the Graph QL API and added additional datasets including employee numbers and estimated turnover

Improved data intelligence and a new Data HQ

We've expanded our team, moved into a new data HQ in the heart of Manchester City Centre while developing our business intelligence with our growth score innovation, enhanced advanced search and international capabilities.
